{"id":2989,"date":"2017-08-23T21:02:53","date_gmt":"2017-08-24T02:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/projectcalls.com\/?p=2989"},"modified":"2017-09-20T10:32:29","modified_gmt":"2017-09-20T15:32:29","slug":"heads-must-roll-including-mine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projectcalls.com\/dev\/heads-must-roll-including-mine\/","title":{"rendered":"HEADS MUST ROLL&#8230;INCLUDING MINE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article\"><b>HEADS must roll over the failed leasing of a passenger ferry for the domestic seabridge, said Minister of Works and Transport Rohan Sinanan, replying to reporters\u2019 queries at a function at the Caroni Licensing Office yesterday.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"article\">Newsday asked Sinanan if the term \u201ccrookedness\u201d adopted by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, at a press conference after a meeting with Tobago stakeholders on Monday, was too strong.<\/p>\n<p>At the launch yesterday of the Heavy-T inspection bay at the Frederick Settlement, Caroni, licensing office, Sinanan declined weighing in on the comment saying, \u201cThe prime minister will use whatever language he thinks is appropriate. All I can say is that I welcome the investigation and I think the population needs to know exactly what went on.\u201d Asked whether Rowley\u2019s view, that there was crookedness involved in the procurement process for the Ocean Flower II, was an indictment on him (Sinanan) as the line minister, he said, \u201cI don\u2019t think so. I think the report that has been asked for will indicate exactly where\u2013 if you want to use the word\u2013the \u2018crookedness\u2019 has taken place.<\/p>\n<p>Once the facts show that there was crookedness, I think heads should roll.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if there is an indictment on the minister, then I think the minister\u2019s head should roll. If it is on the board, then the board should roll.
