Fayval Williams, highlighted the ministry\u2019s commitment to the safety of children by outlining the current status and future plans for the CCTV systems in schools.<\/p>\n<p>Following a thorough evaluation, the ministry is aware of the operational status of existing cameras and is now embarking on a significant procurement process.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative is designed to ensure that every school is incorporated into the safety and security architecture essential for creating safe learning environments.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">\u2013 Advertisement \u2013<\/span><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h-strategic-monitoring-and-transformation-efforts\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic monitoring and transformation efforts<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The initiative is monitored by the Education Transformation Oversight Committee (ETOC), which oversees the implementation of various recommendations from the Jamaica Education Transformation Commission (JETC).<\/p>\n<p>Chaired by Professor Orlando Patterson, the JETC\u2019s report has set the foundation for reforms covering several key areas, including safety and security, governance, curriculum development, and infrastructure enhancements.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-implementation-and-training-updates\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Implementation and training updates<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Sophia Forbes-Hall, the Chief Transformation Officer, provided an update on the progress of the CCTV project.
